Spurs reached the June 1 showpiece with a thrilling comeback win in Amsterdam
Jan Vertonghen was spotted leaving the Johan Cruyff Arena on crutches following Tottenham’s Champions League success against Ajax.
The defender played the full 90 minutes in Amsterdam as Spurs completed a stunning second half comeback to book their place in the final next month.
Jan Vertonghen wore a face mask during Tottenham’s clash with Ajax due to his collision in last week’s first leg
According to HLN, the Belgium international was not seen re-emerging with his team-mates after the full-time whistle to celebrate with the fans on the pitch.
He then left the stadium via a back exit rather than through the mixed zone.
Vertonghen was then photographed getting on the team bus with a protective boot on his right foot.
It is unclear how he sustained the injury, but Vertonghen did take part in Tottenham’s wild celebrations immediately following the full-time whistle.

Reports on Thursday claimed the injury is not too serious, with the crutches only a precaution due to a ‘minor’ ankle issue.
The 32-year-old played Wednesday’s match in a face mask to protect his nose after injuring it during last week’s first leg tie.
