In their forties, the legendary Hardy Boyz are still making history with the WWE and are now eight-time champions

The Hardy Boyz and The Usos squared off for the very first time on SmackDown this week and the blue brand’s tag team titles were up for grabs, too.

The veteran Hard Boyz were able to make history and defeat the champions following some textbook moves in the form of a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb.

In doing so, the Hardy Boyz have become the first tag team in history to win the WWE Tag Team titles, WCW Tag Team titles, the Raw Tag Team titles and the SmackDown Live Tag Team titles.

They are eight-time champions all things told and with Matt Hardy 44 – and in the best shape he’s been in for 15 years – and Jeff Hardy 41, the brothers still have plenty to give the WWE.

There’s no doubt that both men are sure-fire Hall of Famers and have revolutionised tag team wrestling. It seems like their futures are on SmackDown with the Superstar Shakeup next week.

The Usos, though, they seem destined to make the switch to Raw and appear for the red brand for the first time since 2016.

The Samoan twins have become, arguably, the best tag team in the world since their complete character change a couple of years ago and the time seems right to freshen up their opponents.
