The Game is a man who works behind the scenes on his brainchild NXT and NXT UK, but he still performs in the ring on the biggest stage too
Triple H is one of the most powerful men in the wrestling business today – period.
As a legendary performer who had 14 world title reigns, Triple H will face Batista with his career on the line at WrestleMania 35 on April 7.

On April 6, he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the revolutionary stable D-Generation-X.
On April, NXT TakeOver: New York goes down where Triple H will preside over and produce his brainchild alongside fellow DX member, Shawn Michaels.
He’s got quite the weekend in store, but another part of Triple H’s legacy is the NXT UK brand.
The 49-year-old launched a UK arm of his NXT brand last year and they now have a weekly show. On top of that, they had their first TakeOver event in January, which was a huge success.
NXT UK will not feature on its own during WrestleMania weekend but it will merge with all brands of WWE for the Worlds Collide event during WrestleMania Axxess.

talkSPORT spoke to Triple H on a conference call on Thursday and we asked The Game if there are any plans for a follow up to NXT TakeOver and how regularly fans can expect them.
“Yeah, they’ll be announcements coming up on that shortly,” Triple H confirmed. “I don’t wanna step on my own announcements. We’ll be making some announcements going forward on that brand and thinking in the future. I wish I could give them more exposure during this weekend [WrestleMania] but it’s such a big weekend and these things are planned a year or so in advance of the dates that you have to work with and everything else.
“But, being in New York, I wanted to showcase that UK Brand and the Pete [Dunne]/Walter match was the perfect opportunity to do that. You’re right, it would have been an epic match for over there and it doesn’t mean that it won’t still be or whatever we do next won’t be epic. But we’ll have some announcements coming up on that soon.”
One major difference between NXT TakeOver’s and main roster pay-per-views – especially WrestleMania – is the amount of matches on the card.

“Look that’s a constant battle of giving everybody everything that WrestleMania needs to be. Making it important. Making everybody have something to do. If you leave somebody off the card or you don’t put this on there, people will say it’s disrespectful or ‘how can they not involve this on the card’ but you need to have something for everybody and you need to have it be a reasonable length of time – there’s some many factors that go into this and we’re constantly evaluating all of them.
“I like the way TakeOvers feel and sit,” Triple H continued. “I like leaving fans wanting a bit more with that brand. When you get to the end and feeling like, man, everything was epic but it wasn’t too much. But, then again, WrestleMania, it’s the biggest show that there is. 75,000 people in MetLife Stadium or so and it’s epic and it needs to feel that way. Hopefully, we all deliver. But that’s a constant thing that we evaluate and look at on every level.”
There’s no doubt that TakeOvers have become some of the most popular shows in the business today. Maybe that’s a blueprint that is impossible for the main roster to replicate, but it something to think about.
